| Bio: | I'm Dave. I live in Alexandria, VA and work in DC in the University Web Services division at The George Washington University.
I started the Arlington chapter of Drinking Liberally in June of 2006; if you're in the area, come to one of our happy hours and say hi! I also run an every-other-week Dungeons and Dragons campaign for a group of friends, and spend a lot of my free time thinking up more D&D projects than I will ever have time to finish. I also used to do a lot of community theater, but ultimately decided two full-time hobbies was more than enough.
Jeff and I met August of 2002 and have been together almost constantly ever since. Yay :)
I don't often tend to post Friends-Only. Feel free, if you stop in, to say hi. Or whatever springs to mind.
I like to be social and hang out with my friends. I also like to meet new people and make new friends. I have a wide variety of interests, hobbies, and obsessions. Most of them involve games of some sort. Most of the rest involve movies, theater, books, or something else creative, or at least intellectually stimulating.
Because of my theater background, I like to have conversations that don't end at the corner of Normal and Obvious. I like people whose brains are bent in interesting ways that don't keep you from inviting them over. I'm hyper when it's Hyper Time and quiet when it's Quiet Time. Sometimes these overlap, but I'm pretty good at juggling.
I am a cynical romantic. I have a mind that never stops. I often feel that the entire world is that person you're stuck behind who doesn't know how to work the ATM. I don't really take myself too seriously. But sometimes I act like I do, just for fun. And, like many people, I hate pictures of myself.
